In my work the manager was asian. over 51% hired where also asian. Those that got raiss where asian. SHe was a female so even the male managers where discriminated and at times fired for no cause. Once when the census was taken and the percntage was noticed at th enxt layoff a few asian people where let go. How often is Census takes every 10 years?? I brought this to HR and labor relations attention and that was it for me. The stress causes my doctor to put me out n Workers comp. I am still fighting the case even after they accepted the fact. In fact, there's a very limited set of legally protected classes -- things like race, gender, religion, etc. If a trait is not listed in those legally protected classes, employers can totally discriminate against you for it. Hair color (except in the few cities that have laws against personal appearance discrimination), the sound of your voice, taste in books, who your brother is, and so forth.
